About We Rock the Spectrum Colorado Springs
My name is Kimberly Ndahayo. My husband Charles and I have been married for 18 years and we have 5 amazing boys. Our youngest son Josh is on the spectrum and has some significant special medical needs. Josh is amazing and is definitely our little warrior. He has taught our whole family so much and we are all better people because of him. Navigating a world built very much for the neuro-typical individual has been a lifelong struggle that we have not only felt for Josh, but that has impacted our entire family. Our dream is to create a place in our community that facilitates fun and learning for kids like Josh as well as a safe place for siblings and family who courageously walk this journey with them.
I am a Doctor of Nursing practice, family nurse practitioner specializing in epilepsy. My passion and work focus on improving the transition of healthcare from pediatric to adult care for individuals with neurodevelopment differences and complex medical needs. This is a population that I care very deeply about and finding ways, both in childhood and into adulthood, to make the world a safer and easier place for them to navigate. We live in here beautiful Colorado Springs, CO and in our spare time we train in taekwondo as a family and love being in the outdoors! We are so excited to come on as a family to start this new adventure!
Our gym is a sensory friendly indoor kids gym focused on acceptance and accessibility for all kids regardless of physical, emotional or developmental abilities. We offer a large variety of sensory focused play equipment from a double zip line, trampoline, climbing walls and swings. Check out our arts and crafts area, lego section, enclosed and safe infant and toddler areaplay area, imagination play area and teen zone. Additionally we offer birthday parties, therapy room rentals and private events including parents night out and respite. We aim to be a place of community and connection for kids and families throughout the Colorado Springs area.
